Ice Boxes: A Comprehensive Guide for Cold Chain Transportation
Product Introduction
Ice boxes are indispensable assets in the cold chain transportation ecosystem. They play a pivotal role in preserving the integrity of temperature – sensitive items like fresh food, Arzneimittel, and biological samples by maintaining a consistent low temperature during transit. Crafted from high – strength materials, these ice boxes are engineered to be durable, leak – proof, and proficient in providing long – term stable temperature conditions.
Usage Steps
Pre – cooling Treatment
Prior to utilization, pre – cooling the ice box is a non – negotiable step. Position the ice box flat in a freezer set at – 20℃ or lower.
A minimum of 12 hours of freezing is required. This extended period ensures that the internal cooling elements are fully frozen, optimizing their cooling performance.
Preparing the Transport Container
Opt for a suitable insulated container, such as a VIP insulated box, EPS insulated box, or EPP insulated box. Thoroughly clean both the interior and exterior of the container.
Meticulously inspect the seal of the insulated container. A proper seal is fundamental for maintaining a stable low – temperature environment throughout the transportation journey.
Loading the Ice Box
Swiftly remove the pre – cooled ice box from the freezer and transfer it into the insulated container without delay.
Based on the quantity of items to be refrigerated and the expected transport duration, arrange the ice boxes strategically. Even distribution around the container is recommended for uniform and comprehensive cooling.
Loading Refrigerated Items
Gently place the refrigerated items, be it fresh food, Arzneimittel, or biological samples, into the insulated container.
Employ separation layers or cushioning materials like foam or sponges to prevent the items from direct contact with the ice boxes, thus avoiding frostbite.
Sealing the Insulated Container
Close the lid of the insulated container firmly, ensuring a tight seal. For long – distance or extended – duration transports, use tape or other reliable sealing materials to enhance the seal further.
Transport and Storage
Promptly transfer the insulated container housing the ice boxes and refrigerated items onto the transport vehicle, while avoiding exposure to sunlight or high – temperature areas.
Minimize the frequency of opening the container during transport to uphold the internal temperature stability.
Once at the destination, immediately transfer the refrigerated items to an appropriate storage environment, such as a refrigerator or freezer.
